Tell us a bit about yourself, Eleanor:
I’ve been in PR and marketing for the past twenty years and have a background in luxury lifestyle and travel, working in some of the most amazing destinations in the world. Having said that, the UK is a beautiful place to spend time on holiday and has some really desirable locations on offer and West Oxfordshire is one of them!
Why did you decide to launch a Pass the Keys Franchise?
I’ve been looking to launch my own business for a while but couldn’t quite find the right opportunity. I decided that I should combine business with pleasure and become a business owner in the short-let property management industry. I also have my own short-let rental and I like to go on holiday as much as possible, so I have firm experience as both the host and the guest, in turn, this has helped me identify what I believe makes the perfect getaway. I decided to join the Pass the Keys brand as I believe in their ethos and values, they are also the largest short-let property management company in the UK and the only one accredited with official, ‘professional co-host’ status by Airbnb.
Why is West Oxfordshire suitable for franchising?
I believe that this area really does offer something for everyone. Known as the ‘Oxfordshire Cotswolds’, it’s a beautiful place full of picturesque towns and villages and open countryside – one-third of it has been identified as an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ (AONB).
It’s also home to some major historical landmarks including World Heritage Site, Blenheim Palace, as well as major attractions such as Bicester Village, Soho Farmhouse and Daylesford Organic. You can also enjoy family-friendly festivals here including Cornbury Music Festival, Wilderness and the Big Feastival.
Finally, it’s got great transport links both into the area (London is less than an hour away, Birmingham, 40 minutes) but also within the region – we even have London Oxford Airport for those that are short of time and want to fly in and out!
