Rosie, can you tell us a bit about yourself?
I’m a Director of SBPR, a PR agency based in Cornwall. During 2019 I managed the conversion of a rundown barn into a holiday cottage and welcomed our first guests – quickly realising I have a passion for short let property management.
With my background in PR and marketing (and here’s a bizarre combination, wastewater engineering), I bring the necessary skills (and nose) to this exciting new venture.
What made you choose Falmouth as a Franchise area?
Falmouth is my home, and I grew up only a short drive away – it’s a place I know incredibly well.
It’s a tourist hotspot and has the strongest year-round events programme of any town in Cornwall. Out of the 4 million who visit each year, 49% are motivated to travel by events and festivals – of which there are many. This puts Falmouth at the forefront of event visits.
Falmouth University and the University of Exeter Cornwall Campus also continue to drive a year-round economy in the town.
I’ll also be covering Truro and the villages along the main corridor to Falmouth – all of which are fantastic locations for short-let properties.
